With a nod to new beginnings while still maintaining the relationships that you cherish, we’re leaving our much beloved practice space / recording studio in Allston for new digs in Deep, Dark Dungeon, Mass. We’re excited but sad because we really liked our old, cramped space. Andy Abrahamson invited us to move in to the studio somewhere in 2003 (Was it ’04? No one keeps good books in this band) in the middle of recording “I’ll Be Out All Night,” which we were doing with him. We loved (and continue to love) Andy and moving in was such a huge opportunity for us and a big step forward for us at the time. We’ve had a lot of 7am, just back from New York load outs up those steps, and we will really truly miss it. We recorded about half of the new album there and will finish it up at the new space sometime, we pray, in ’07. Andy, meanwhile, is busting his ass to get things back up and running. We’re kicking things off at the new space in early January, working on a project that we’ll tell you about as soon as it’s finished (we believe in jinxes). Our sincerest hope is to have something with some new music out really soon. We’ll keep you updated on that as well as share some pictures from the set-up of the new space. Meanwhile, here are few from our old one. We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season.
Vince, Jon, and Chris.
